Who is Erik?

Erik Theo Hamilton was born in Toronto, Ontario, and grew up just outside of Dallas. Before filmmaking, Erik was primarily an actor; performing in the US, Edinburgh, and Beijing; getting his BFA in Acting; and starring in several short films.

Since then, in addition to key creative roles in indie films, Erik has been on the crew for several studio productions, including: Killers of the Flower Moon, Twisters, and Tulsa King.

Erik just completed Post for his debut directorial feature: Joey Witten is a Big Stupid Idiot and I Hate Him, and is finishing Post on his next short film: A Night at the Theater.

Erik’s currently focused on developing his next feature, Sunset OKC, a sweet story of goodbyes, all taking place at a lakeside sunset.
